Is Law for You?

The New Zealand Law Society believes that all students should be given opportunities at school to develop a basic knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the legal system, to help them become confident, informed and responsible participants in society.

The Law in Schools programme is designed to promote effective learning about the legal system by directing teachers, lawyers and students to useful resources, and providing links to other websites.

The Law in Schools Project is a new initiative based in Wellington. Havings its first year in 2008, it is designed to educate Year 13 students about New Zealand's legal system.
